I recently found this monthly preparedness calendar where you can be inspired with scriptures and preparedness topics each month to make planning for your families fun! Monthly Preparedness Calendar- Take a look!
We belong to the Tempe South Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Our Stake, in 2011, broke down emergency preparedness planning for us into monthly themes so we can tackle a few items a month and not feel overwhelmed. All fliers can be found on our 2011 Emergency Prep Handouts Page.
These 12 Monthly Emergency Preparation Lists are great because they break down preparedness items for you in a simple checklist to focus on each month. If natural (or man made) disaster strikes and you need to evacuate (with your trust Grab 'N' Go packs, right?), you might need to create some sort of shelter where you end up. Additionally, the safest place might be your home, but you can always fortify it for better shelter.

Got Water? In our desert you'll need LOTS of it if you are to survive when acute trouble hits. The following documents will help families to ascertain how much water they need to store, how to store it, how to keep it fresh and clean, and other ways to treat dirty water in emergency situations.
